THE MOUNTAIN TRAILS

Mountain Biking

Traverse the rugged beauty of the estate on two wheels. From gentle slopes to technical mountain ridges, our trails are designed for every rider. Trails are exclusive to guests of Beloftebos & neighbouring Stanford Valley.

Our trail network spans over 25km of single track through some of the estate's most breathtaking terrain. Winding over streams, through fynbos and ancient oak groves, the trails offer something for every rider — from flowing beginner-friendly loops to technical climbs with rewarding views. The green route will take you along the Paardenbergs River, while the red and blue route winds up the fynbos mountain and the black route goes all the way to the view point on top of the mountain.

FOOTPATHS

Hiking & Trail Running

Lace up and lose yourself on our network of private trails, winding through mountain fynbos, shady forest and open dirt roads. Whether you prefer a short, easy loop or a long run with serious climbing, there's a route for every pace. The trails are beautiful, uncrowded and exclusively available to guests of Beloftebos and Stanford Valley Guest Farm — a privilege that keeps them peaceful and well-maintained. A favourite with serious runners, the trails hosted the Stellenbosch Triathlon Squad for a training camp in 2019.
